EWO Posted January 27, 2007 CID Share Posted January 27, 2007 With IE6 you can right click a favorite and there is an option named " send to " then " desktop shortcut." How with FF2 can I send something that I want to the desktop??? I must be missing something some where. Any help greatly appreciated Jim
tommie gorman Posted January 27, 2007 CID Share Posted January 27, 2007 That is exactly why I stayed with IE6. I understood it. Also why I will watch a baseball game over a football game. I understand it.
coknuck Posted January 27, 2007 CID Share Posted January 27, 2007 I've been trying the FF2 also, I can only get one tab to work. I shouldn't have to work this hard to make a browzer to work. So O'll stay with one that works all the time Maxthon.

The secret to getting firefox 2 to work the way you want it is customizations. I have no trouble opening multiple tabs.
coknuck Posted January 27, 2007 CID Share Posted January 27, 2007 Oh,I keep playing with it in my spare time. I've tried the customizations. So I'll keep trying. It must be good because so many people use it. So until I figure it out I keep using what I use.

EWO Posted January 27, 2007 Author CID Share Posted January 27, 2007 A link as a shortcut on the desktop. Like when in IE6 you right click a favorite and then send as a shortcut to the desktop.
haddikazook Posted January 27, 2007 CID Share Posted January 27, 2007 I haven't found a way to do what you asked, but you could just drag and drop a link on the desktop.

If you want to save a picture you right click and "Save Image As" and if you want to save a page right click a "Save Page As" Edit: I think i got it figured out now!
