granpa Posted March 11, 2007 CID Share Posted March 11, 2007 Yeah, non-profit, every company wants you to believe they are non-profit so they don't feel bad that they have to charge more.
brokersdad Posted March 12, 2007 CID Share Posted March 12, 2007 New Brunswick in Canada. Tdc broadband was going to set up in my community in Nova Scotia but I think they caught wind that nobody is going to be willing to pay $730 for hook up up front and $49.99/month. They were suppose to be up and running about a month ago, but they are not and they answer no emails regarding if they are going to continue with their plans. Nova Scotia gov't is committed to everyone having high speed access by 2009, and they are co-funding pilot projects and seeking out private companies to set up high speed services in rural areas. One county is presently being done and the gov't will monitor their service and prices to see if they will get them to go into other areas later this year. tommie gorman Posted March 13, 2007 CID Share Posted March 13, 2007 I could not find it, but I hope they do not include dial-up or satelite as high speed service.
