edit/ also it could just be distance to the testing server. and also, have you tried tweaking with cablenut?

i didn't know that programs running in the background could affect the bandwidth speed. there are some programs running in the background.

as of now, i'm running the basic dsl package because that's all that is offered where i'm living at.

but it's cool, this week i'm moving out into another location where Time warner road runner is offered and i'm getting the premium package.  i'm sure it will greatly increase.

what speeds are advertised for your download basically, and if you get close to that there is nothing you can do to get more of your average, because your average is (as i forgot but coknuck posted) all of that company not just your speed.
