dtsman Posted August 16, 2007 Author CID Share Posted August 16, 2007 my sony DVP NS-90P standard dvd player with hdmi upscales Great was thinking of selling the unit and getting the PS3
Shug7272 Posted August 16, 2007 CID Share Posted August 16, 2007 It does, of course it doesnt do miracles... better than my old $500 upscaling DVD player did. Does a pretty nice job on old ps games too.
Siryak Posted August 17, 2007 CID Share Posted August 17, 2007 Yah it does, but don't expect high-def quality from it. In my experience there isn't a vast difference between upscaled and non upscaled. It helps a little, but you can still easily tell it is not encoded in high def. ghostmaster Posted August 17, 2007 CID Share Posted August 17, 2007 It would help if the PS3 had a hardware scaler like the 360, but I suspect it passes through the graphics adapter so it does a pretty good job anyways...
