x_6985381 Posted March 1, 2008 CID Share Posted March 1, 2008 My line quality is pretty horrid, pings jumping and ranging so I went into the modem page: 192.168.100.1 and I see that my transmit power is 46dBmV and my Receive power is -8.3dBmV is this normal, I had a 15/1 connection in new york that had a 35dBmV transmit and was just wondering since this is a lower internet connection 5/512 Just wondering... mudmanc4 Posted March 1, 2008 CID Share Posted March 1, 2008 Not sure, you have me curiouse enough to look into it further. Here's a comparison for you, I have 15/7, from TWC. Downstream Power -7.2 dBmV Upstream Power 46.8 dBmV Look into the splitter, and cables, as well as the ends, make sure they are in good condition. From what I read, this plays a big part. I did some checking and it seems as if for fios, anywhere from 0 +/- 15 is good, besides, look @ your speeds, outta site! That is fios right?
