wyantm06 Posted June 18, 2008 CID Share Posted June 18, 2008 I been using Ad-Aware SE Personal for years, and now it is completely crap. Runs slower, I am always getting errors, and I do not like the interface. Is there something out there someone could recommend to me?! Thanks. starship_troopers Posted June 18, 2008 CID Share Posted June 18, 2008 the AVG anti spyware and anti rootkit programs are pretty nice, so is Spybot search and destroy.....also the ewido scans are decent. I'm sure tommie will post up some good ones also. He usually is great at finding these things... Oh, btw, try ccleaner also.

wyantm06 Posted June 19, 2008 Author CID Share Posted June 19, 2008 I use AVG 8 Free and CCleaner but none of those are for Ad-Aware. Well as far as I know...
tommie gorman Posted June 19, 2008 CID Share Posted June 19, 2008 I found the same problems with it also. Try this, it seems to get as much as the old adaware, and just as fast as it used to be also. Hope it fitsyour bill. http://www.filehippo.com/download_spyware_terminator/ I even tried to reload an old version, it seems to redirect me to the newer version no matter what. So my adaware sits there mostly. I ought to remove it really.
