dlewis23 Posted September 21, 2008 CID Share Posted September 21, 2008 I am having a problem with one of my servers, and no one can figure out what is going on. It gives really slow download speeds for some reason everywhere I try. I hover around 400 kB/s What speed to you all get from it, and what is your normal download speed? Download: http://testmyiphone.com/test100.zip Thanks
mudmanc4 Posted September 21, 2008 CID Share Posted September 21, 2008 I averaged 560 . You know different servers , in different locations give different speeds, but thats pretty slow for that area, and that server. I would have to say on avg. , I d/l between 700 & 1500, depending. Buntz Posted September 21, 2008 CID Share Posted September 21, 2008 When I download the file my speed started around 300KB/sec, went down to 170KB/sec at one point. Around halfway thru the download it stabilize at 250 to 300KB/sec. It took around 4 minutes to download the complete file. Edit- Don't know if this helps ,but just did a 100MB Testmynet download test and got 5829 Kbps for my speed.

dlewis23 Posted September 22, 2008 Author CID Share Posted September 22, 2008 I averaged 560 . I know, but this server should have no problem maxing anyones connections no matter where they are in North America, I have never had this problem before with this host, and I'm at the point where I think they are doing something to slow it down because it makes no since.
