JAM1971 Posted November 13, 2008 CID Share Posted November 13, 2008 I am looking to buy a new router this weekend. I will be connecting 2 laptops to this router. Any suggestions on what brand I should buy? I live in a two story house, and I want something fast and reliable. The router will be put downstairs. Should I go with a wireless n router, or are they a waste of money? Thanks.
dlewis23 Posted November 13, 2008 CID Share Posted November 13, 2008 Only go with a N router if both or one of the laptops have a N card in them, otherwise its a waste because you would have to buy cards to take advantage of N.

philp Posted November 14, 2008 CID Share Posted November 14, 2008 I've had really good luck with Linksys, but Netgear is supposed to be just as good. Read some reviews first, though. http://www.pcmag.com/category2/0,2806,4234,00.asp
