keith1178 Posted March 14, 2009 CID Share Posted March 14, 2009 I am having issues with IE...some virus called a360 makes it unusable and I can not get rid of it....I have switched to Chrome and Firefox and was wondering if Firefox gives accurate test results? If anybody knows how I can get rid of the virus it would be great but everything I looked up said they couldn't figure it out
zalternate Posted March 14, 2009 CID Share Posted March 14, 2009 Use MalwareBytes in safe mode. If you can download it that is(virus blocks some stuff), other wise burn it to a CD on another computer and install that way. http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=mncol&cdlPid=10896905

azimouse Posted March 24, 2009 CID Share Posted March 24, 2009 I was testing with firefox today after updating my OS (XP SP). After selecting "test upload and download speed" I got the following message "Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/tmn/public_html/tools/test/results.php on line 350 Could not connect: " Can anyone tell me what this means and what do do to correct the problem? Thanks Azimouse
