VanBuren Posted February 21, 2005 CID Share Posted February 21, 2005 hey again G~Bear call your ISP and ask what speed your paying for VanBuren
xs1 Posted February 21, 2005 CID Share Posted February 21, 2005 The fastest. With EastLink, modem speeds are up to 5 megabits per second. Which makes it (this is worth repeating!) the fastest residential High Speed Internet service available system-wide in its area.1 But don

G~Bear Posted February 21, 2005 Author CID Share Posted February 21, 2005 Okay I called my ISP and this is what they told me. My modem can handle 600 Kbps on the download and 120-130 Kbps on the upload. They were pretty amazed when I told them my scores
Indestructable Posted February 21, 2005 CID Share Posted February 21, 2005 you got something going wrong, but that's ok, as long as you are getting faster internet speeds! what kinda modem?

G~Bear Posted February 21, 2005 Author CID Share Posted February 21, 2005 Yeah. I followed exactly what you recommended in one of the threads. Cable nut + SP2 settings + a program that's recommended for SP2 users. It's all in a thread you started. I just can't remember where it is

G~Bear Posted February 21, 2005 Author CID Share Posted February 21, 2005 Hmmm Im just trying to remember just bare with me. It was in a zip folder labeled SP2 ????.... You were helping another forum member out. Hold on.....Here's a screenshot of my settings http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v298/grizzbear/Mytweaks.png These are the settings I used. VanBuren Posted February 21, 2005 CID Share Posted February 21, 2005 yea those settings are for a 3000 384 connection, but it seem to work very well for you aswell VanBuren
G~Bear Posted February 21, 2005 Author CID Share Posted February 21, 2005 I've noticed a HUGGGGE difference. This is the sticky I followed https://testmy.net/topic-2097 It was amazing. One thing though. My results after using Cable nut + settings lead me to inconsistent results, it was only when I d/l SP2 patch that the results plus the above, that things fell into place. These results are from cable nut + settings + SP2 patch + following the sticky to a tee!! Nothing more and nothing less Anyway Thanks Van!!!
