starship_troopers Posted May 13, 2009 CID Share Posted May 13, 2009 i prefer windows 7 to all window OS's except xp pro sp3...just because its got alot more fixes and its widely used still. and still fast...but when windows 7 gets going, i'm making a switch and completely bypassing vista
monsnet2k8 Posted July 3, 2009 CID Share Posted July 3, 2009 I been testing Windows 7 for about an hour and so far so good. my speeds are consistent with those of Vista. no change. I'm on the FIOS 20/5 package. Btw: I like the new features on W7 however I'm still happy with Vista I could live with either version! I use Windows Movie Maker a lot and on vista I can open a 13GB Movie clip almost instantly and on the Windows 7 version its takes about 3 minutes.. I don't know! :::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 22303 Kbps about 22.3 Mbps (tested with 25600 kB) Download Speed is:: 2723 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 4872 Kbps about 4.9 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB) Upload Speed is:: 595 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Main) Test Time:: 2009/07/03 - 4:35am D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-5C18WYABQ U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-QRIW3E2M9 User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1) Gecko/20090624 Firefox/3.5 [!]
