junkieXL Posted February 24, 2005 CID Share Posted February 24, 2005 Sounds to me like the typical XP corrupted winsock. A common problem these days on this OS. It is caused by many issues ranging from incompatible software to an incomplete or bad install. Some firewall installs are reported to be at fault as well. Try this winsock fix, it has worked for me on a few machines at work: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/WinSock-XP-Fix.shtml Hope this helps -JxL
