New PC/Deals?

Hey guys,

I am looking into building/buying a new PC for my brother(s) and sister(s). Does anyone know of any good deals right now? I figure I'll probably do it at the end of the week or next week.

I would like to either get a Core i3/Core i5 or a Phenom II x4/x6 for them.

The budget is within a rough estimate of $450-$600. (The price is only going to affect WHEN I do it, really.)

Edit: Looking at this gateway right now.

Edit 2: Also looking at this gateway as well.

Thanks,

EBrown

You need to get hold of my supplier, for 500 you can build your own i5 , unless you need the peripherals ?

It would be nice to have the KB/Mouse come with it.

I am stuck at a cross between the Phenom II x6 and the i5. They are both about the same price, and the Phenom II is 6 cores...

As far as building one, I have come up with a form of an idea.

Case ($15): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811233067

Motherboard ($60): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138338

Processor ($185): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115076

RAM ($35): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226249

PSU ($70): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182191

HDD ($80): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152305

BD-ROM ($60): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136232

Video Card ($125): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814134130

----------

Total: $630

This definitely meets my criteria, except it might be a little overkill. (I am debating if I should drop the Video Card or not. Essentially this PC will be used for Web/iTunes/Flash Gaming/Movies Possibly. The real gaming will use mine.)

I am debating what size of monitor to get with it though. I might go with a 1080p one, but I would have to drop the Graphics Card for that. To stay within my budget at least. And I don't know how well the Intel HD Graphics 2000 on that i5 would handle an HD monitor.

Edit: With some new research it seems I can get a Phenom II x4 system, with the rest of it being equivalent to the above, for much less. Looking at $405 instead of $630. ($405 vs. $505 when I drop the graphics card from the above build, which I did for the x4 thoughts.)

This would leave me room to get a decent HD monitor for them as well. (Although the new video chip-set is a Nvidia GeForce 7025, with only VGA/D-SUB out.)

Edit 2: The price on Hard Drives is RIDICULOUS. Anyone want to sell me a used one? (Must be Seagate or Western Digital, I WILL NOT accept any other labels.)

Thanks,

EBrown
