On bittorrent I have actually uploaded at 2.3 MB/s (18.4 mbps) On dslreports' test I am able to show my full upload speed plus a faster download rate of about 22-30 mbps. The fastest that I have ever downloaded in a real world download was about 3MB/s (24 mbps). Maybe CA3LE, you could change the upload test's page approximate times for satellite to be a little longer. If I want to upload anything that is over, oh, 500 KBs, I either dial-up or wait for work. I love going over there because I get to play with decent speeds where no ports are blocked and I don't get in trouble for downloading too much (which I have done at work).
