I live about

daytrader Posted January 8, 2007 CID Share Posted January 8, 2007 Tdawnaz..you said.."To Light a Candle is to cast a Shadow." hmm..so you'd rather sit in the dark? One lit candle can touch other un-lit candles..creating a better, brighter world, in my opinion. I don't have any political preferences at all but I do remember one quote that's kind of stuck with me.. "Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly..." -Robert F. KENNEDY
tdawnaz Posted January 8, 2007 CID Share Posted January 8, 2007 daytrader what that saying refers to is the domino effect of one small action...it has nothing to do with light and dark...everything u do has an effect on something
daytrader Posted January 8, 2007 CID Share Posted January 8, 2007 tdawnaz..no argument there..but the good Lord gave you a brain to think with..and try to make good judgement on things.. sometimes we don't have the TIME to hem-haw around.. we have to take the initiative sometime..to quickly weigh the possibilities...to take the risk..to try and do the right thing.. personally, I'm not too worried about.. Pss.18 [28] For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.

mogramjo Posted January 8, 2007 CID Share Posted January 8, 2007 Oh wow...well, I too had to read tdawnaz's statement back when...I believe it makes the case for considering very carefully that which we do...and daytrader obviously realizes that it means that. The language is that of a 'parable' and doesn't refer the the usual hustle bustle of typical daily activities. Wash your dishes or your clothes s.l.o.w.l.y. for 'fear' of disturbing dirt to some ill effect?...heehee...am sure that's not what it means, but if you take time to consider the deeper meanings behind things..it can be a good thing. tommie gorman Posted January 8, 2007 CID Share Posted January 8, 2007 I guess it depends how deep the whole gets that I have to dig into. Too deep and I will fall in and not be found for a while. I guess that is where the candle comes in handy.
mogramjo Posted January 8, 2007 CID Share Posted January 8, 2007 hahahaha tommie...leave it to you to find the joke...my mom used to say when someone would say..'well, (this or that)' "Yup, well, well, well...a very deep subject" don't know why but you *made me* think of that
tommie gorman Posted January 8, 2007 CID Share Posted January 8, 2007 I always try to teach my kids life should be fun, and don't let anyone get in the way of that. Glad I tickled you. In a good way. So my quest is done for today. And how does that go? If life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
