pitbull481 Posted September 20, 2006 CID Share Posted September 20, 2006 Comcast users what plans does Comcast has? from what i know it is 6Mb/384kb and 8Mb/768kb (residencial) cause some1 send me a message: I don't wany to put you out on the forum considering you seem to be a vet. But that speed is correct. Comcast has a lot of configs that you are probally unaware of. They have all of the tiers that you are aware of and then they have a 10/10, 17/1, 33/1 all in testing areas and others that you are not aware of. You shouldn't post unless you know what you are talking about. from xgsx by the way xgsx what plan do you have with comcast? and how much are you paying? MYRIAGON Posted September 26, 2006 CID Share Posted September 26, 2006 real nice Thanks man...... Guess I better enjoy for now... Just signed up for SBC DSL.....UGH ! We got a new A/V system LCD HDTV, DVD recorder, Surround amp and speakers. and one thing led to another so we got digital cable and HBO and DVR. So now it's time to cut back on the internet and phone service. Only for a year though. ( the year of hell )......

MYRIAGON Posted September 27, 2006 CID Share Posted September 27, 2006 why? how much cheaper is it? Well right now my Comcast internet is about $60/Mo. with 8/768, modem and taxes. Our phone is about $75 a month but that's with a lot of features we don't even use. The new SBC bundled, will be $12.99/Mo. for ADSL 1.5/384 and the phone with less features is $29.99/Mo. + taxes and unlisted # will be under $55.00/Mo. So that saves us over $80.00/Mo. Close to a grand a year ! But I guarantee after that year contract, I'm back to Comcast Internet....

They do, but not in my area as of yet. I probably could have went with Vonage, but I have heard too many bad things with them. With my new phone pkg. I have unlimited local and local long distance, but no long distance, which we rarely use anyway, but we have free long distance on the cell if needed.
