So RTB is it possible to find out what your cap is on your modem yourself. My friend has Cox and has been DL about 1mb/s around 900k usually and cox is telling him everythings fine.Yea right. But alas, it's evil. I'll go bake you a space cake. Does that work with the really old AKA ancient modems? I got a Com21, and the page says nothing about that type. Removing this cap mean that you are going to jail or facing a $250,000 fine... Its illegal for the same reason stealing cable or satelite is, your taking service your not paying for and there are large penalties. I would say deffinantly get it fixed, most places can detect these hacks with a network scan performed as part of routine maintenance and a more powerful program has been released to detect this.Especially if you have the Moto. Surfboard, if you do your boned.. Then when they find out you have a website devoted to shady practices... Hope you can clinch your butt cheeks REAL tight for 7-10 years. Someone forgot to set it... There's also the possibility someone gets fired because of this incident. So if CA3LE disappears, we all know the reason.
