Guest PeePs Posted October 13, 2004 CID Share Posted October 13, 2004 Looks like your getting close to what you pay for, but both are a little under what they advertise you getting, but its not enough to complain about . It is what you pay for, but no it's not normal for DSL lol.
chd176 Posted October 13, 2004 Author CID Share Posted October 13, 2004 I know I know...I JUST got DSL though (I'm out in the middle of nowhere) so I will take anything that the crappy 850/25 satellite connection I was on...there is supposed to be a near tier released soon a few of my friends are testing it...3000/512...that's more like it I was mainly concerned about my upload but if all seems good then I am happy! Stank_Ho Posted October 13, 2004 CID Share Posted October 13, 2004 mmmm... What are you paying for that if you don't mind me asking?
Shug7272 Posted October 13, 2004 CID Share Posted October 13, 2004 I dont think youll get much over what you pay for, the only connections I have seen over what they are rated is Cox.

Shug7272 Posted October 14, 2004 CID Share Posted October 14, 2004 That is precisely why I put "that I have seen" And I meant over by much, not a little.Im over by a meg.
chd176 Posted October 14, 2004 Author CID Share Posted October 14, 2004 mmmm... What are you paying for that if you don't mind me asking? you are going to make fun of me....lol but it's nothing compared to satellite $45 and I'm in a 1 year contract but that's ok because CenturyTel doesn't lease their lines to other ISPs and there is no way in hell I could ever get a cable line out here or go back to satellite
chd176 Posted October 14, 2004 Author CID Share Posted October 14, 2004 also while running NetPerSec I get around 1.4/210 while doing a large upload or download and on my downloads I average around 170 KB/sec or above so all seems good before I wouldn't even notice on my downloads I just knew it was faster...lol
