resopalrabotnick Posted August 26, 2005 CID Share Posted August 26, 2005 when testing dl, i notice a delay between the progress bar reaching 100% and the appearance of the DONE! stamp. is this because of the transmission time of the last packet of the test to me then the transmission of my last ack packet and the transmission of the done to me? if so, how is the test measured, does the time start with the first packet sent or the first ack received? i get dls in the above 530k/sec range from microsoft at times, while my speedtest tops out usually around 470k. this could be explained by stated delay? if so, would changing the timing from rcv 1st to last ack packet be possible? otherwise, awesome site, take care! php Posted August 26, 2005 CID Share Posted August 26, 2005 The test records the time from when the data starts loading to the time it's done loading, all on the client side.

CA3LE Posted October 11, 2005 CID Share Posted October 11, 2005 The test is currently being reworked. There is a couple of client-side issues I would like to clear up. But this is a huge process... you will know it's changed when the progress meter is a different color -- you will see
