lorne Posted August 28, 2005 CID Share Posted August 28, 2005 like i said before, the isp balks at giving a high upload in basic packages because they do not want peope running servers on their cheapo packages. they say if you want to host sh*t, pay for the traffic. besides which running a game server might be an infringement of the isps policy if people pay to use it. check to be sure... I had a look at my isps site and they are getting 1mb up in my araea soon..bout bloody time. I talked to a tech that works for them and he said they discourage running a server on non commercial accounts but as long as you don't constantly go over your soft cap they don't bother ya.
