Try visiting the Linksys site and getting the latest firmware for the router. You can also try connecting your PC directly to the modem, then reset your modem and PC...then try the traceroute and speed test again to compare. FallowEarth Posted September 3, 2005 CID Share Posted September 3, 2005 When you're connecting directly to the modem, your pings and much of your traceroutes are still being blocked.
cholla Posted September 3, 2005 CID Share Posted September 3, 2005 Hi FallowEarth : His first tracert to testmy wasn't getting the time outs .They started after he started tracerting to ndt-hc.twaren.net ..I think Eddie misunderstood Van Buren who only wanted him to do the NDT test there. This NDT test is located in Taiwan I think which could explain the timeouts at least partly. So see if Eddie is getting timeouts to a closer site.Maybe testmy again to start with.
