bighawk211 Posted September 5, 2005 CID Share Posted September 5, 2005 all of the above..lol or u could setup a lan between ur desktop and laptop but i would suggest firewire if is available to you.. since it is capable of handling speeds of 400 mb/s
Guest kamil234 Posted September 5, 2005 CID Share Posted September 5, 2005 if you go usb to firewire it will only go to speeds that usb is capable of ..if you got a firewire port on each computer, go with firewire..if not than i guess just transfer using usb.. Swimmer Posted September 5, 2005 CID Share Posted September 5, 2005 It is going to be faster to use usb 2.0 or firewire.. However, if that is not possible.. http://home.Comcast.net/~dhedge3443/network.pdf that is a guide that i wrote a while back.. it will set you up to share files.. unless you have a 10/100/1000 network.. resopalrabotnick Posted September 5, 2005 CID Share Posted September 5, 2005 one reason could be non MS firewalls running on one or both of the comps.
Swimmer Posted September 5, 2005 CID Share Posted September 5, 2005 you are going to need to remove any firewalls.. that will mess up the process..
