If u play on xbox live and do other stuff than play games every once and a while then i would recommend going for it. All of the good pre-orders seem to be gone already. Sure, you can order a bundle from Gamestop, but their bundles are over priced and you don't get to select the games. Fromt he reports Ive read most people dont seem to like the 299 pack so Id get the 399. I think MS screwed up with the two SKU's. Should have just made the 399 bundle. If you like online deffinantly get the 399.
