new orleans is below sea leval houston isnt.. we have good track record for any size storm.. Now galvestion yea no way would i stay but where im at ill just be without power good thing i work at a resturant im getting the gas burners and catering equopment ill be cooking brunch on sunday with no power. Even if you wanted to leave the freeways are jammed with south texas evact. includjng my parents. ha they said [move]its a good time for a vacation[/move] alot of people are staying in houston like i said it will be bad but on high ground here they have taken all the Louisiana evacs to oklaohma and north

Sadly enough new orleans will get another blast  of water that they dont need

I'm in midland and although we wont get hit, if we were I would stay. Why because we are from Texas, we are just as dumb as the people that stayed in Louisiana but TOUGHER. :lol: JK Oh and hurricane parties are common, especially in Florida.
