Gregorama Posted November 13, 2004 CID Share Posted November 13, 2004 What's your advertised speed? Also, I'm assuming that your computer doesn't have an ethernet port?

Marcin541 Posted November 13, 2004 CID Share Posted November 13, 2004 Try checking for viruses and spyware, those could be eating up your CPU usage which you dont have too much of.

xs1 Posted November 13, 2004 CID Share Posted November 13, 2004 you know, it just may be the fact that your going via USB, instead of NIC card.. because when i first got my cable ( roadrunner as well) i didnt have a NIC card, and the technician who was installing the cable said i needed one , because these toshiba modems run incrediably slow via USB. so i paid the 20 bucks for the new card ..... you may want to do the same. Im going to get another NIC as soon as i get my lazy ass up and off this chair and to the store (which wont happen for a long time)
