Gregorama Posted November 27, 2004 CID Share Posted November 27, 2004 I was getting around 2.9-3.2 here while testing, and after I changed my RWIN values from 128480 to 54240, I'm getting speeds of 3.6-3.7, even on the 12 MB test. That's really strange. :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 3682 Kbps about 3.7 Mbps (tested with 1496 KB) Download Speed is:: 449 KB/s Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/ Bottom Line:: 66 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 2.28 second(s) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=6XJOJRIQY

Gregorama Posted November 27, 2004 Author CID Share Posted November 27, 2004 Just tried it. But, it's making pages take longer to get to. I set it to windows default, and I'm getting about 3.4-3.5 now.
Gregorama Posted November 27, 2004 Author CID Share Posted November 27, 2004 Also, when using the same RWIN values for vanburen's new cablenut settings, I get about 3.1 mbps. With the old cablenut settings, I'm getting 3.7.
NoShow Posted November 28, 2004 CID Share Posted November 28, 2004 I have been playin around with my RWIN settings and with VanBuren's new settings I get 4.1 but when I use the old I get 5.1. That's with no cache as I cleaned them out before I rebooted each time. The settings that I used are : 64240 for my RWIN

All computers and connections work a little different, thats why its important to test different values and see what works best for you..I also always try and keep a good copy of my registry so if need be I can roll back....
