By Jason George Tribune staff reporter Published December 8, 2005, 8:08 PM CST A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 attempting to land at Midway Airport Thursday slid off a runway, broke through a barrier fence and landed in the middle of the street at 55th and Central Avenue. No one was injured in the accident, according to Larry Langford, a Chicago Fire Department spokesman. The plane, flight 1248 from Baltimore, was landing about 7 p.m, according to fire and police reports. There were more than 90 passengers aboard, Langford said.
