RTB Posted December 15, 2005 CID Share Posted December 15, 2005 That's what the back button does too. Posting cached results only* compels others to do it too, and the scores do end up in the database. So don't do it. *It irritates me as well. rammolo Posted December 15, 2005 CID Share Posted December 15, 2005 The problem with cached resuls is that some people do believe they are getting those speeds

Ryan314 Posted December 15, 2005 CID Share Posted December 15, 2005 Its so annoying when people post cached results....wouldnt you think that people know by now if you press the back button the numbers go up.... lol its not very hard to realize if your paying for a 6mb plan... your NEVER going to get 50mb's out of it GOD someone should make a sticky telling all new users that by pressing the back button you will get a cached result which is FAKE and is not anything that is really your score
anox195 Posted December 15, 2005 CID Share Posted December 15, 2005 Welcome to the forum Zerstoren There right, please dont get cached results, that raises the isp's average connection, and the other customers are trying to get near that average...They can't do that if people like you raise that average considerably. But anyways welcome to the forums.
cdf216 Posted December 16, 2005 CID Share Posted December 16, 2005 Welcome to the forum Zerstoren There right, please dont get cached results, that raises the isp's average connection, and the other customers are trying to get near that average...They can't do that if people like you raise that average considerably. But anyways welcome to the forums. Who wants to be at the average? I want to be at least 2.5 to 3 times faster on download and 5 times faster on upload. Of course My connection is the fastest offered by my ISP. With most other customers opting for or stuck at the 5/384.
cholla Posted December 16, 2005 CID Share Posted December 16, 2005 I know this started with a cached test but if you want to try a "ridiculously high tcp window size " Try 65781760 with window scaling enabled for your rwin. Then test it at speedguide.net with their tcp/ip analyzer.
