It could be the rest of the ppl in your neighborhood haven't gotten back online due to your ISP...so, you're possibly on the line by yourself, hence the fast speeds.  I've had a couple friends who got crazy speeds immediately following an outtage, network upgrades, etc, but it didn't last that long.

Insight is in the process of upgrading their back bones so that they dont get killed by Fios..   here in IN we are starting to see the improvement.. but as always there is some down time here and there.. we will see what happens.

well, insight is very smart... eaither you are uncapping your modem *illegal* or they messed up *not likley* I have been an InsightBB customer since 1998.. never got above 800 kb/s.. and i havent seen anybody's insight actually that much faster than mine. They may be upgrading the backbones but they aren't upgrading the speeds.

Thanks, Tim

that is false. insight is simply doing that to get away from AT&T they are also upgrading the speeds since they have never ever upgraded. basic is now 6/512 *well in less than 2 weeks* and the premium package is 10/1

Thanks, Tim
