  1. hm. seems to me you are looking for a solution to help you split firewood. the firewood is intended to heat a building i take it.

simply install more pcs in the rooms you want heated and keep adding more until you reach the desired temperature. to keep the solution compact yet powerful i recommend purchasing several blade servers. then you can heat your house and whoop everyones ass on the folding@home thread.

  2. no, not that the ram chips may be loose but the little circuit boards that attach them to the mainboard. if you know where on your mainboard the ram is and how to remove/replace/upgrade it then remove what you have and put it back. if there is a loose connection there that could be the problem. and the other thing i was referring to was some toolbar or other accessory that adds things to the context menu (the menu you get when you right click on a file/folder) could have screwed up the process ofadding it or have addedit and have an internal problem that is causing the error message.

  3. as for the bike, i'm sure that'll buff polish out with some turtle wax.  :wink2:

the helmet doesn't look too bad considering, but remember folks, the internal structure of the helmet can only absorb one impact. so if you use it as intended like damon or in some cases even if you drop it too hard it should be replaced.

and tdawnaz, thanks for the update and the pics. can you post some pics of the protective clothing he was wearing to demonstrate what damage it kept from him?

  4. depends on where in the country you live in the country. if you live in the country in louisiana french would probably serve you well. most of the northeast english should do. in the southeast you should be fluent in at least NASCAR if not moonshine. in the plains and rockies states i guess english and an assortment of native american dialects will serve best and for the west and southwest spanish is probably a mst along with fair english. for the northwest english should suffice.

  5. and i have to recant a statement. the lead acid battery cells in car batteries and similar produce 2 volts. so you have 6 cells per battery.

as to the video, makes sense. i guess it does depend on the brand. some mfrs (maybe the cheap noname ones as pictured in the original vid) will just pull AAs off their standard line while the bigger name brand ones will manufacture a dedicated larger cell for the 6V (which makes sense, since the one big cell should have better performance than the 8 small cells in parallel, so putting just the 4 big cells in series should give a better battery)

edit: and if you need a 1.5 volt power source independent of the size then that one big cell is probably a very nice thing to have as well.
