  1. well i did get full 3.0 Mbps with nothing using up the bandwidth of course don't know where the dslam is i just know where the co is last time i test drive it is like 4-5miles but CO distance from the broadbandreport.com gets 20k
  2. oh well, i am 20k away from co so i guess xtreme 6.0 is not available to me. anyway i have dsl xtreme. if i get xtreme 6.0 i will be staying with bellsouth.
  3. do you seem to know anything about distance requirement for the new xtreme 6.0 that is available?
  4. anyway all i heard from tech travel around in the area say is early november, so exactly i don't know when between bellsouth is doing a lot of advertisement on dsl lite so i am pretty sure is to grab people attention while xtreme 6.0 is coming out. this is a good marketing tool to get the word out when xtreme 6.0 hit.

  7. from the bellsouth forum on boardband well rumor just keep coming up nothing official yet so it might be wrong beside if bellsouth upgrade roadrunner in my area are likely be upgrade higher speed instead of 5mbps
  8. is not rare to have those high speed in college my school have over 800 computer all of them run at least 10mbps so if it is in the council line it should be over 100mbps easily
  9. my school speed is slow i guess is 17mbps per computer even though our school is all fiber optic but it has at least 800 up computer sharing the same line
  10. did you have dsl lite right now? well is still better than dial up but can't watch streaming video with that speed

  12. you should be lucky when i have bellsouth ultra it never pass 1200 on speed test and download speed is alway 120kB/s

  17. strange today i went to find out my Co distance is 20k feet and still can get dsl hehe
  18. anything offer up there are crappy why not just get a T1
  19. been with them for couple year haven't seem them upgrade get annoying like other isp does

  22. on the ground should be faster other university have upload speed up to 1MByte per sec and 1Mbyte download rate or higher for download
  23. cnet alway get me crappy reading i am on 3mbps but they alway get me 1mbs for test result
  24. the college i go to have cap to 3Mbps but you can get a download rate up to 1Mbps and upload rate of 1Mbps so that should be a 8/8 cap but instead everytime you test your connection is exactly at 3Mbps
