  1. If you going to make the switch to 667 your RAM speed will be sped down to accompany all the moduals. How much are you willing to spend on RAM, I'd check out Newegg.com if 800mhz if your max, try moving up to that. I've had great performance with WinTEC Industries 512 x 2 Pack found on newegg, and the best part for timings like 5-5-5-15 for under 30 bucks. I recommend you definitively look into that! 2. I've been getting better than my advertised for a while now, I'm loving it. Cablenut Custom 10/1 File

  3. After a lighting storm destroyed my second EVGA 680i LT Motherboard, and shipping it back to them for an RMA. I will be recieving the new replacement later today. I'm hoping that it will not be a refurbished motherboard as I've read in a few forums. I can't wait to get off this damn Pentium 4 processor and back onto my Core 2 Duo. I've never notcied just how much faster the Core 2 Duo's are than my old Pentium 4 @ 3.0Ghz. So today I'm looking forward to, my fingers are shaking and crap only have 4 hours of sleep, drinking coffee right now too, I'm just anticipating it's arrival. It's been 2 weeks without my baby.

Y'all just make me sick to my stomach.

  5. One word: Vista, no but seriously, network is basically controlled in a new manor, there-fore you'd most likely not be able too, I do know that you can change it from the NIC Driver just like XP, try this, if not then get in touch with your ISP, see what the problem is, or if they've just stopped allowing that. 6. I've used their online tweak file maker, and got the first file I've seen give me more than my advertised speeds. Now how do I make it stable? Heres the issue, I can download the single file of 12 Megs, just fine.

But when testing with the dual test my download drops to the lower 7Meg download rate.

It seems to be slow at first, maybe a buffer size is to high, how can I fix this.

My connection is 10Meg Download and 1Meg Upload - Charter Communications.

  7. I highly recommend AVG Free (Found here)

Not only has it never let me down, it's foot print is still small, compared to other anti-virus software.

Meaning (not limited to) frozen computer while scanning, or with it's always monitoring system wont really slow you down.

The only way this is a good program is if it's updated regularly, they update almost every day so it shouldn't really be a problem.

I've yet to see AVG let me down, and earlier this morning I also tried Avast, it found simple things AVG did not, but missed the bigger, more 'dangerous files' that AVG grasped on to. All I can say is that stick with what you like, AVG is aimed at people who know their way around computers, but has a rather easy userface. Have fun, stay clean. :smile2:

  8. tell her to get a job and pay for the net or move out !

LMFAO! Haha, simply remove the P2P Software, all I can really say, there's not much to filter with limewire. Hopefully you'll be able to see eye to eye, that software just isn't for a teenager, it has pornography alongside of virus, malware, spyware, the lists. So heed what I say, simply remove it if it's causing such a fuss.

  9. Your welcome, thanks for the story, hopefully it'll inspire more to click, the supports phenomenal these days, and simple things like this only makes it that much better, I'm hoping that with testmy.net's clicks we help even if it's a small step, plus with the other parts of the website, I believe there's things for everyone. Thanks for the support, and God bless, all of those who have passed, and to those who are still surviving and fighting, again thanks so much!

    :smile2:
