hey i have my xbox goin through my comp but not with ICS. the dhcp is done with a firewall instead and the problem i have is i cant connect to some people on xbox live cause my xbox setting is nat 3. the best setting for xbox is nat 1 and was wondering how i could get it to that if anyone has a clue. to see what your xbox nat setting is goto the xbox dashboard and goto settings then network settings then connect and when the test is done push the Y button and it shows the ping and packetloss then push A and it shows the nat settings which can be 1 to 3. 1 wont have many problems at all but 2 and 3 will have problems joining some games and get a network error in some games.

i have gotten that alot from my friends and thatnk god my firewall is pimp cause i have clicked some and got intrusion detected from my firewall a few times. if you have the right setup it cant do anything and my firewall will ask about any connection connecting to me or any program trying to start or modify something. my own windows wont start unless i click allow at start up. lol

nah man thats the most i hit on the download and upload but i can expect that cause i am in a very populated area that atleast 90% has this cable service. but as i said that price for the speed is not compared to anything else out now and i'm getting 30 mb down as soon as the tech comes here to install a line for it.

i doubt it but guess what i will do if it does suck. cancel and use the sdsl and adsl i already have for hosting until fios of something better. until then i'm gonna see where this goes.

i called them up and asked if i would get capped for hosting on this package and they said you wont get capped on this tier of service so i guess that is it. no cap

not with the new package i am getting with them which has no cap limit and 2000 up and 30,000 down with web hosting allowed. i also know they are cap happy since i had them before and i must say they improved alot from when i had them

its good but not the most stable connection but its definitly the best for the money out of anything you can buy. currently i am paying $30 a month for 2,000 upload and 15,000 download so there isnt any deal out better than that around. BTW my optimum online speeds are in my sig below

anyone else optimum should jump on it if you go nuts with uploading and downloading and play alot of online games like i do. its cheaper than anything else around too

cable just upgraded so i dont need the adsl really so i will cancel but i have the sdsl for uploading and i would get capped on optimum for uploading so much. i uploaded about 13 gig already this month

hey van what settings do you reccomend using for cablenut ? i dont know if the verizon 15/2 would work right for cable

can you get more without wireless

mine works flawless and works better than the old 1 for me and i even got faster speeds from it. other than that the only problem i have is some extentions don't work with the new one yet and have to be made compatible

i restored my comp and forgot my password and email i used and needed to test something so i made another account and then i figured out my old 1 so now i use 2 accounts on different comps
