  7. i'm in ny on sdsl and here is my ping to the sites he pinged but myspace is cross country for me so verizon ping this and see what you get. nyc.speakeasy.net and then we can see if they are really better. we also need more people to post here to see the difference. we also should make another thread comparing the 2 with ping times and trace routes to see if there is really an advantage. 8. you probably wont get much lower pings cause i have tested it but you might get 10 ms better if your lucky but not by much. check the isp's sla + tos and see what the average latency is for the T1 cause some places garrentee 110 ms round trip time and some offer 55 ms so check around before you get one
  9. everyone i know or ever connected to with cable sucks for gaming and cant host for crap like the cable i had (optimum online). also i hate people saying this is better and that is better it depends where you live so there is no better one and each one has its advantages and disadvantages to live with.
  10. i said i got 4 and 9 wrong which means 8 right
  11. FF is fine for me and never had any problems since i got it and got away from my old problems with IE. IMO IE is crap and FF is here to stay.
  12. mine is different also and got these settings by messing around and these work best for me. should they work best the same or should it depend on the connection?
  13. with networx from softperfect.com and kerio firewall. this comp is a POS and doesnt even have paint lmao so i cant prove this speed but i can prove the 18,000 kB sec lan speeds. i got this speed connecting 2 comps with directly together with cat 6 wire i made about 6 inches and 2 gigabit ethernet cards set at 1000 MB full duplex but the cpu on the POS comp is the bottleneck and was hitting 100% before i hit this speed. this was just the max it hit which was just a spike. validation link? i cant on lan have to get paint or something to get a screenshot for here
  14. got a higher reading but it sucks for the internet cause i guess i optimized it for lan with cablenut. just got this score but my comp is maxxing out its cpu passing all this traffic 74009.87 kB/s is 606288.86 Kbps Or 606.29 Mbps ::: 72.28 MB/sec
  15. my old speed was a little over 18,000 kB a sec and i just got this 52547.86 kB/s is 430472.07 Kbps Or 430.47 Mbps ::: 51.32 MB/sec
  16. btw this is my 2nd account and my 1st is blunted but i'm on a different comp
