Decade, When you do a speed test you need to test the largest test number on Download .This gives you a more of a better test. so try the bigest number for your test.

I was working on a project and the Laptop was left unattended with the testmy page up on the screen. I will keep an eye on it for a bit to see how long it last, then I will call HP.

How long should the life of a battery in a Laptop last? Mine lasted for 2hrs. Is that good or bad? This is a brand new Laptop 3 weeks old. Most of the time it was sitting on the table with testmy.net page open while I was trying to fix my granddaughter's intercom.

You got to remember that home users are not the only ones on,Satellite. Most of the Gas Station and Railroad has Satellite and quite a few others that use the bandwith at those times also. But it is still better than DialUp. DW dose suck at times.

It just depends on what time you are on and when you test . This is the best test ever. I should have checked my UpLoad also.

Test your Download with a bigger file. From what I see is that it is prime time and that could slow your speed. What is your Weather like? This is my Speed DownLoad. Thats why we went to Satellite. There is a lot of horror stories out there but it is still better than Dialup. From what I have been reading it is better to get WildBlue than DirecWay. But they will start to slow down just like the rest of the Satellite companys. But right know it is better to get WB.

Hey: wewdy Welcome to the site. From what Aggr3 said is true you need an installer to set it up, Federal law. You my have saved you some money setting it up for them . Now they just have to commisson it. Once they have commissioned it, you can do any thing you want to it, with out them knowing. The installer probally will fine tune it better because they won't be in a hurry to set it up. If your lucky. Good luck. I had Earthlink at first for three years, now I have DirecWay for about a year now. Saved me $10.00. Big deal lost dialup for backup. But they told me if I do loose service just call them and they will give me a number to use dialup temporarily. Also I don't have their software on my Comp thats nice less garbage running in the background. When I switched they commissioned it as a used system. Aggr3 I'm glad I kept my 4000. I really don't do anything at all to mine except when it gets to much snow on it then I brush it off with a broom. I guess it really depends on what kind of signal you have. Mine is at 91 signal strength.

I said to myself that I will never buy any more desktops after I built my first one.Thats because I want to know what is really in it. But I just got a laptop from Walmart though. Does that count?

We also had the same problem with MSN also running to slow I thought that is was to many people online.

I downloaded my Nortons System Works 2003 Pro. I am still having problems with the updates from Symantecs. The only update that I can't seem to update from symantecs is the WMI update. Is this needed for this program? What is this WMI anyway?
