well i go to suprnova.org (love that website) ...... the program that works best for me it torrent commet (something like that !?) - i was getting speeds of like ~35kb/s most of the night....so....

wierd ! but nice hehehe lol.........took me about 10 hours to download 1.5GB worth of NFS-Underground 2 over (torrent tracker) last night slow, but worth it hehe lol

im back it was the stupid COX brand splitter making me loose my signal....no wonder...bought a regular co-ax coupler and its working fine....hitting ~5000kbps without tweaks...

well for a change, im actually being able to surf the web....much slower yes, but still better than nothing im gonna see whats up tomorrow, im building another computer for one of my customers so ill hook it up to his computer and see if its the actual connection thats the problem or my system......btw......any prediction ? hehe

well i tested it and i like it.....i chose the correct setting and on the 2992KB test i do get like a crazy burst in the begining, and it seems like it finishes the test so fast, but according to the numbers it seems same - although, i like it....feels faster, when downloading im actually able to reach speeds of like 600-700Kb/s when comparing to before (~450)

Hello.....how reliable do you all think it would be to run a game server (for counter strike) 2-3 days a week (particularly over the weekend) on a cable connection - i have cox, 512up, 4down (but its way over its cap) so.....the server would be run on linux (what kinda specs should a decent server have!?), offering about 12 player spots.....so....what do you all think ?

well.....im just in process of getting my major in CSE - but, i think that could be the case when you computer might be infected with a virus (i dont wanna be childish and blame it all on viruses but that might be the case) - or maybe, i've encountered few of those when windows was not able to handle the page file properly...this would happen when the windows file was not flexible enough to carry out its functions (it being hardcoded if you like) - what might correct your issue is setting your windows page file size to something like 512mb, 256mb (and makeing sure you have that much space where the page file is allocated) depending on how much ram you have available
