Im not sure, my computer seems to start up slowly, and then freezes. I normally just use AIM, Firefox, and iTunes. I have defragmented and ran ccleaner recently. I don't think I have many processes running either.

I have the google toolbar installed on mine, but is there any way i can add a pop-up blocker. It seems as Firefox grows, so does the advertising and the pop ups.

Yeah, I'm sure its an ethernet because I have an actual phone cord on the other side of the computer. So with that out of the way, do you think its a problem with the router, modem, or comcast?

most likely an ethernet connection. I doubt I'd be getting even half of my speeds if i had it hooked up to a phoen cord. sorry, Im mere useless with the connection and rotuer stuff.

P.S. My downstairs computer runs through the phone outlet in the wall ( I believe ) and hooks up to the router. I switched from Nextel to cingular, and so far cingular has been much better. ( They support way better phones too ( I have a razr)). Plus, cingular is coming out with a similar feature to nextel's Direct connect soon.
