  3. Now I got the same problems when I tried to select the D: as the output destination in Nero. Do I have to make a new folder on the disc first? (cause thats the only way it will let me burn it )
  4. Ok, what I realized is that DVD shrink just puts the files so you can burn them and it says if you have the correct burning software. Now I use nero to burn the files that i got from dvd shrink. Sorry
  5. The thing is I don't think it worked now, do you think that i did the right thing my making the new folder on the D: disc and burning it into that folder? I stuck it in my ps2 and it said not readable, so i guess thast cause it was +R. I guess ill try again.
  6. So you think I need to make a folder on the DVD +R disc named like Movie, and then save the data onto that?
  7. My sister got a virus @ college so I guess the computer support students deleted everything on her computer. They then installed Xp professional ( from home edition ) and now whenever the computer boots, you have to choose between the 2 even though home does not work at all. How can I make professional to always start w/o it asking? Thanks if you can help
  8. Sorry about the word attachment, but thats the only way I know how to post images. Here is what I get after I hit Ok from the previous window.
  9. Here's a screenshot of what I'm getting
  10. I have dvd decrypter, shrink, and nero. But when I try and burn it, I select the D: and when I hit ok, it says "DVD Shrink has encountered an error and cannot continue. Failed to Create Folder. Device is not ready." Do I have to create a folder on the disk first? Do it through Nero? Is there a problem with the Burner ( I am not 100% sure it's there since its my sisters laptop ) or the disk? Thanks
  11. Ohhh ok, I created a folder on the disc, then selected to burn it and its burning now! ( I think ) Will come back when its done. Thanks guys
  12. Ok, so I'm finally ready to burn, and when I insert the blank disck into the D: and hit ok to burn, it says "DVD Shrink has encountered an error and cannot continue. Failed to Create Folder. Device is not ready." Does that mean this thing doenst have a DVD burner?!
  13. Thanks! that's just what I needed to know.
  14. Ok, thanks.. In the guide I was reading it said that I needed to have nero installed for dvd shrink to be able to backup.. Is this true? Thanks for the extremely quick replies!
  15. Well I am trying to use it on my sisters laptop... its a dell inspiron 1150 and she told me it came with a DVD burner, I'm not sure though... But it can definitely play them so i assume it can burn too.
  16. I want to backup my DVD, and was wondering after i use dvd decrypter and dvd shrink, will I need to burn it onto a DVD -R or could my +R discs work? Thanks

  18. Well, I've not had too many problems with my Dell. As for why I bought the "proprietary architecture" was because I don't know how to put one together... I might be able to now, but so far all I have done inside the box is added RAM and a slave drive. I have never heard of a vanilla copy of XP btw

So I guess there's a problem with the router? But why is the first hop STILL timing out?
  20. Me either, XP came on my computer, and I highly doubt that Dell is selling computers with Stolen XP on them.
  21. It's not that big of a deal, but when I got XP I thought the profiles were great until I realized it raped your RAM and slowed the PC down a ton. I'm pretty sure I deleted all of the files for the others, but is there a way to set one as the default as that is the only one in use now? Thanks
