Great idea, I will work on that when I get home... I try to envision the future of the site when writing any code for the site.. so I have already written ad removal into the new site design so it will be very easy to implement something like that. The google ads go very well with the site theme overall. Almost from the start of the site I have used google and the campain here at testmy.net has from the start had great success... even if I was approached by an ad company that used mainly image ads and they promised me more revenue I would have to decline. Because I know that our users appreciate the fact that testmy.net has always used less invasive (and less annoying) methods of finacing the project. Contextual ads are awesome and not so 'in-your-face' --- god, I really hate those new flash ads that have audio. But, you never know one day, maybe in the near future, contextual ads may go the way of the dodobird... people may become too desensitized to them... who knows the future of advertising? Well, if any of us knew the future of advertising we would be very rich indeed. -D

Yeah it should be much better, I had to do some stuff with my domlogs.. perl was also out of date and causing cpan updates to lag the server... and of course we had the hack 'attempt' on top of that -- should be all cool now, sorry for the lag before.

This was due to a hacking attempt on the server... someone was trying to bruteforce into the site and I'm sure with the 20,000+ attempts this may have slowed us down... I have notified the persons hosting company abuse department, they should take care of him -- retard who was trying was trying with simple passwords... ... ... sorry but I'm not stupid, I use some pretty hard to crack passwords, thank god --- don't people have better things to do, this is like the 3rd or 4th hack attempt I've seen in the past year :-/

I'm not really having any problems myself... but as soon as the traffic drops on the server (in early morning) I will update apache and see if this cleans up the issue. We are having quite a bit of extra traffic in the past 60 days so yes, a third server is in the near future .
