Not sure. The setting is within the DW7000 web pages served up by the modem. It is possible that the would use the same settings for all of the 7000 series modems. I suppose I could get my buddy who is an FCC licensed RF technician to measure the output with his $18000 machine, but I guess that isn't really necessary. My system was rebooted several hours ago by Dway support and it still has no failed TX yet. I will ask the technician when he comes to repoint, if I think the guy is any good.

On the phone with Dway right now... Downloads on their test down to 20 kbps down. Wow. Crappiest ever. I believe they are going to change sats for me. Waiting on hold for that answer right now. I also found a little tidbit on failed TX. In the manual commissioning page, you can up your TX power to 2 watt. I don't know if it really does it, but I did and it seems to be much better on the failed transmissions... Off hold now. Tech is coming to point me to a different satellite. Anxiously awaiting the call for scheduling...

And I had a trouble this AM with the large upload test hanging with the submit, so I tried a smaller one and got good speed. Posted the 1013 kB test, then ran the 2992 test again and got this. I have run it 8 or 9 times on the 7000. Always 99. Probably wrong. Does read 99 in the advanced page too. My 6000 had a XPOL of low 90's all the time. Signal strength of 91 too. I tweaked the hell out of my dish after the idiot installer left. I tune the dish up if the values drop. Laptop out on the roof! I wonder what will happen with that value when they get things straightened out.

The low down on the call tonight... Some straight answers for once maybe... Admits there is an issue with the system maxing out, especially on SatMex 5. Engineers are working on it. Checked some things on the advanced page. Says the rate code should be up to 3/4 or 4/5 at times. Very pleasant support call for once. Very apologetic, but could not give a definitive timeline. He said "I think you'll see improvement soon, but for an exact date or time, I cannot say. Encouraged me to continue running speed tests on MyDirecway so they are logged and to continue to document the slow times with calls or e-mails to reinforce the problem and ensure it gets addressed. Hard to be rude to the guy when he is that nice!

Just so you know, that is the exact same e-mail I have gotten EVERY time I have complained about performance via e-mail. They also close the ticket as soon as they send it. This morning, I have snow on my dish (a little) which dropped my sig two points (91 to 89). I will clean it off later, or let it melt. It is supposed to warm up today. Anyway, a few posts ago I got the nonsense from them about the weather making it unreliable to test... Here is the proof that a little snow on the dish does nothing to affect performance... They tried logging into the modem during the test? -Hold -Modem reset from their end -Another speed test -84 down / 122 up -Direct connect to modem (no hub in the way) (I had a Linksys 4 port hub on it) -Another speed test -76 down / 125 up -Re-register the modem -Browse for a bit -They download new software to the modem and tell me to wait for it to reboot, browse/dowload heavily for about 20 minutes, and recheck speed. If it is still bad, call back for any downloads consistently under 500Kbps. It took about 1 hr 20 minutes on the phone for all this. And the saga continues...
