You guys can check my stats...I've never scored higher than 6.2. My speed would mostly be 4.5/725 even though I was on the comcast 6/768 plan. I just called to ask them about the 8/768 deal that I should have. She tells me on the phone that their highest speed is 6 still but I got off the phone and did a test and now look. I think she fixed it quietly because they were supposed to on the 20th and didn't. Look at these speeds. I did two tests the first scored me at 7.2. This one is...:::.. I am on the comcast 6/768 plan. But I always get about 4.3 download and I get almost my cap in upload. But anytime I take the download test the progress bar freezes up about halfway. If anyone out there can hook me up with the newsest cablenut settings it would be greatly appreciated.I'm jealous of you comcast users out there who are getting between 6.2-8 download. Thanks all!

I had an amp put in due to weak signal strength. It made the internet connection stronger. It also gave me strong cable TV signals. If the tech has to hook up an amp for you it might not be a bad thing.

I meant to ask if verizon will expand fios into my area.

If verizon dsl isn't available in my area...but you could get it if you lived 10 minutes away from me. Then when fios is available here in Pittsburgh. Will verizon expand it's dsl borders into my area? I just figure they will because dsl is so limited that when fios hits this are they could broaden their horizons. Thanks all!

I've been to many sites in my time. I've visited many forums before. Not only have I had the most help with tweaking my broadband connection. I've had you wonderful testmy.net folks help me with any issue I post. Pitbull481,Buren, and Cholla are just 3 out of many that have been so kind to help us all. I've never had someone be rude to me in these forums. In any other forum for any other site I've had people be rude and these are all the reasons why I keep coming back to my favorite site. Guys, I was wondering how to soft mod my xbox. Please let me know the least painful way to do it. And am I better off just getting a chip? If soft modding is a good alternative then do I have to download xbox games off the web? I would just hate to get spyware, viruses, etc. Is there any way to decrypt an xbox rental and burn it and have it play on your box? Sorry such a mass of questions. Thanks for your help guys.

Well, it finally works thanks to you guys. I have one more question. Once it's on DVD I deleted them off my hard drive. The GB that the movies used...once I deleted them...it gave me my GB back. Is it really the case if you delete them. Does it really give you your GB back?

I just downloaded a mozilla extention that allows me to tweak network settings. I have comcast 6/768 package and I was wondering what values I should type in for...max connections,max connections per server,max persistent connections per server,max persistent connections per proxy, and pipelining maxrequests. If someone could list the values for me it would be greatly appreciated.
