  1. I turn mine off every night. And then I cuddle it for being good to me.
  2. Kill your bridge and see if that does it.
  3. Here we go Steelers...here we go. Pittsburgh's going to the super bowl! Can't wait until Sunday. :D :D
  4. I told everyone who I know that doubted the Pittsburgh Steelers that they would be in for a rude awakening. Go Steelers! And those terrible towels will be waving victorious in Detroit when they get one for the thumb. Jerome Bettis needs to win a Super Bowl in his home state before he retires. What a story that will be.
  5. I understand...I'm just crabby because it's always my luck to have something break. Lol. Sorry if I seemed miserable in my earlier post.
  6. Actually resopalrabotnick, I thought it was easy to figure out what I meant. I meant that I took some precaution in keeping it well ventilated. And that is why it was a shame it still crapped out on me. I never said it was, "dust bunnies from christms to now to migrate into the 360 and block the cooling vents". Maybe you could've read my post a bit more thoroughly before being smart with me.
  7. Yeah, all of you who keep saying you have no problems...good for you. But those of you who especially just bought it I would give it some time before you talk about it being fine. I've had mine since Christmas and there wasn't even a hint of crashing or any other problems with it until it just happened after a week and a half.. Many people on web forums and whatnot are complaining of these issues with their 360. So in reality you wouldn't see symptoms coming anyways. So if yours is working god bless. I'm not hating but it's too soon to tell for your 360s anyway. It could crap out in a sec. But the thing that pisses me off is that it wasn't even my fault that it crashed...I had that bitch standing vertical away from tight areas so it wouldn't overheat. But at least microsoft said they would either repair it or send me a new one.
  8. Well, I have had my 360 since Christmas and it just shitted out on me. It had no signs of death until it happened all of the sudden. It wont let me hook the controllers up wirelessly. The media remote wont work, when i plug the controller into the usb drive it doesn't work either, and the best one is that the ring of light around the power button has 3 flashing red lights and the screen goes black without even having an error message pop up. Lets play a game and have everyone take a guess as to what's broke in it. Once I get it back from repairs I will post what was wrong with it. At least microsoft said they would fix it for free.
  9. Pittsburgh Steelers all the way. I feel that they started rolling towards the end of the season and already snapped Chicago's 8 game winning streak...then we snapped the Viking's streak as well. So, hopefully they keep the momentum. They gonna wreck the bengals though that's for sure.

  11. Will you be able to hook up the xbox 360 core system out of the box to a surround sound system? Will there be an optical in port on either the system or on the cables from the core package? Thanks all. Happy holidays.
  12. I downloaded service pack 2 for windows today and I noticed it slowed down anything internet related. Is it really that important to have service pack 2? I already have avast antivirus, ad aware se plus, spybot search and destroy, spyware blaster, and microsoft antispy. I also have sygate personal firewall. Since I have all of these layers of protection can I do without service pack 2? Someone hook me up with some good advice. Thanks.
  13. I'm happy to say I'm reporting back to you guys on my old pc that was infected. All of your help led me to fix the spyware problem I was having. Thankyou to everyone who helped me last night.
  14. I finished all of the spyware programs and it cleaned all of the spyware. But as soon as I connected the pc to the internet again the popups happened almost instantly. If anyone else has ideas on how to fix this please post. Thanks. I'm off to bed but will check the forums in the morning. Nite all.
  15. Hey, thanks for your quick and helpful responses guys. I disconnected the pc from the internet and the popups stopped magically. Then I ran spybot and found a spyware entry titled alexa reloaded. I fixed it but now I am running ad aware right now to make sure there is no remaining crap on my cpu. I never thought to run spyware scans right after a clean install. But I hopethat once I connect to the net that it doesn't happen again. And believe it or not...I was actually hoping this was an easy spyware problem that I could fix. LOL, there's a first for everything. I will disable the messenger. Thanks for looking out guys.
  16. I just did a clean install of windows xp and I am still getting these errors. And at first my comp was fast. Then when the popups came it became sluggish again. What is left to do? PLEASE someone help me.
  17. I recently networked my new and my old pc together. I never had spyware problems on my new pc. I reinstalled windows xp on the old one last night. It still felt like I was running sluggish on the old system still. I downloaded the usual security programs like spybot, spyware blaster, and ad aware. I got the sygate firewall and avast antivirus. This is the same setup as my new pc...I set the old one up this way because obviously my new computer has no issues. I had to uninstall avast because it was slowing the old pc to a stand still.I just mapped the drive on my new pc and decided that I would just scan that drive off of my avast on the new pc. I scanned it and no viruses were found on the old pc. However later I checked back on the old one and it had this messenger pop up telling me I had severe and critical registry errors. It told me to go to a website like regfixup.com and if I x-ed out the window I would get another pop up saying I had a virus and that I should go to another site (similar in name). The pop ups don't stop on the old pc now...though each pop up is either telling me I have severe registry errors or that I have a virus...all the pop up windows are similar. Do I have a virus or trojan guys? Someone please help me. What's a good free antivirus that is low on system resources but will actually get the job done? Someone tell me what is wrong and tell me what to do. The new pc was acting funny a tiny bit earlier but not any popups and everything is normal on it now. Will a fresh xp install on the old pc get rid of my problems? I know my questions seem frantic and jumbled it's just I am freaking out here!!! Please help me. Thanks
  18. Lol, when I installed yesterday it didn't let me reformat. Now with the fresh install today...it let me remove the partition on my drive and reformat. So, I hope it at least makes it close to new. Or I will proceed to beat it with the blunt object. After this problem is fixed...what is the safest way to setup file sharing on my home network? Thanks again.

  20. Anyone out there know where I can get a free and properly working DVD audio mp3 ripper. I want to make mp3s of my favorite in-movie music. Thanks all.
  21. New to using bittorrent. If anyone has any tips on how to stay safe from viruses, trojans, and spyware please let me know. Also, if someone were to get a videogame from bittorrent...How would that person burn it? hypothetically speaking of course.
  22. Thanks Kurupted. I use gmail to backup my photos.

  24. I am using the linksys wireless G gaming adapter. I've haven't even had it for six months. All the sudden the other day it started booting me off of xbox live. Not my xbox says connection is too slow or there is signal loss. I put a surround sound system in that room a couple of weeks ago...could this be the reason for the connection weaking over time? I already tried switching the short ethernet cable from the wireless adapter to the xbox with a new one and still no difference. Let me know if you think I should move the surround sound out of the room. Because even when the surround sound was in the living room with my wired connection I thought it was weaking my wired connection. Thanks all. Anything would help since I don't want to shed $100 on a new adapter.
