I began digital systems work on a DEC PDP-11-23 running RSX-11M OS before personal computers had been "invented" and greatly enjoyed both the logic and potential creativity involved. ? Also was on the graduate school faculty of an area university while also an employee supporting the Financial, Human Resources and Computer Center departments.

Now it's time for Cybernetic Systems fun!!! (After squaring away this network).

Network hardware:

D-Link DIR-895L Router:

     Ultra AC5300 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router with 8 High Power Antennas, MU-MIMO and 4-Stream NitroQAM, etc.

D-Link DAP-1860 Extender:

     AC2600 Wi-Fi Range Extender – AC SmartBeam – SmartConnect – MU-MIMO Technology, etc.

D-Link DWA-192 adapters:

    AC1900 Ultra Wi-Fi Adapter USB 3.0 Dual Band Long Range with Advanced AC SmartBeam, etc.

I am now working with one less antenna and given that they work in pairs, I've lost one pair! All because of an insane cleanup to prepare for a surprise family visit last week. "Someone" tossed a bag on the router in their haste.

I may as well rant about Tech Support departments too. Companies no longer want to spend the money to make their support personnel technically proficient! What a waste of my time. So now I'm spending my time studying network parameters, lingo, etc. instead of running speed tests! What a revoltin' predicament this is!!! Thank you William Bendix wherever you are....
