i don't think they rent them anymore but they did at one time...i bought this one years ago from cox...7 years or so ago...he was saying it's old...and to budget for a new one...and recommended that i shoot for something call docsis3...from where ever...but i don't think you can get them from cox anymore cuz he never hit me up for that...

exactly...theft is against the law...stealing someone elses artwork is a crime... and no once the crime has been comitted and the authorities (the riaa) step in and impose fines sure the artist still doesn't get squat...but the artist would get paid what they are due if people would just pay the buck in the first place (i don't actually know what it costs...i just listen to the radio...i don't download anything...but if i did i would pay for it)

well hun lemme tell ya a little story and i will make it short even though it was a long drawn out nightmare... break the law bad enough and the WILL send customs agents knocking on your door to seize your computer to take it and comb through your harddrive and guess what you don't have a choice...they have a search warrent in hand... many years ago...well maybe 10...we had a friend of my son's staying with us...and unbeknownst to us...he liked to surf some illegal sites (not gonna ellborate further cuz he's actually in here )...being young i guess he didn't know that it was illegal on the internet to do that...anyway...there they were at my door search warrant in hand...came in and combed through my computer on the spot...didn't find what they were looking for so the took my computer with them...brought it back two weeks later. my son had to give them all the information on his friend. not sure what happened after that...now mind you it was like a year after they both had gone their separate ways and moved out...they are still friends though...and he's actually a great guy...just a curious youth... so yeh break internet law bad enough...and they will come knocking on your door...and yes they know where you are.

oh my gosh i remember that...lots of members got those stupid stories...and it didn't stop with banning one or two members...we ended up banning several ip's from that area...they were all coming out of a call center...guess they were bored

no not really...i need a new modem...my modem is 7 years old...tech at cox a few weeks ago said he could even see me...said "are you sure you're connected to the internet"...asked me to do a speed test at some stupid site...i told him i'd do it here...so he started surfin around in here while i did my test...he liked it here...any way he was amazed that i was connected cuz he couldn't see me...told me to start budgeting for a docsis3 modem...said i'm gonna need it soon. during that call was when i found out that i'd been upgraded to 12/1 from 7/512 yeah!!!

the site owner/admin is on vacation for 2 weeks...says he'll take care of it when he gets back...sends his apologies...it's first on his list when he gets back... til then are you able to run separate tests? he gets stuck in a repeating loop...
