i think there is a problem with TCP packetloss between above.net and The Planet, it dosent show in a traceroute since it using ICMP packets. I have the same problems, tracert is normal but speed went from 30 MB+ to 56k speeds against testmy.net. Other speedtests is normal.... VanBuren

must be capped at that rate, its very slow for a school make a tracert start-run-cmd then type tracert testmy.net VanBuren

hehe yea its crazy speed and cheap, but here gasoline is atleast twice the money as in the US, so not everything is cheaper here its 44,23 USD/ month they advertise it 10 Mbps up and 100 Mbps down, but lately its more like 13.6 Mbps up and 75 Mbps down for some reason. Around a year ago, my ISP upgraded all their 10/10 Mbps customers to this without cost. VanBuren

congrats Justin check this out http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculator.jsp with your setup it says around 300W minimum I would go for a PSU with a large fan to reduce sound, check out the sound data. VanBuren

I been waiting for my PSU for weeks now, they say it will arrive the 26th, but its a great SLI certified PSU for the right price so ill wait. During the time i been thinking and now i made up my mind and decided to go for the quad core CPU instead, and choose a cheaper GPU. I figure it will be easy to upgrade later on just changing the GPU or add one more and run em in SLI. I been digging for a good case too, this Stacker is the only case SLI certified, got 2 120mm fans as default. I also changed the Vista edition to 32 bit, i have some old apps and games. Dont want to risk em not working with 64bit vista. hey ninjageek try setting your DefaultSendWindow to 4096, 8192 or 16384 As small as possible, aslong as you get the right speed on the speedtest here. If you have a slow PC, it might help hitting ctrl+alt+del and in taskmanager change the CPU priority for that BT client. Also try other browsers, i havent used opera. VanBuren

thanks, it seems to be several models of that mobo (almost same nr) but only one support PC6400 memory, i had picked the wrong one lol, the store didnt have that card home, so i picked another http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131074 a bit more money but it seems great, i also did a search at http://www.corsair.com/ so make sure the board and my ram works. i also changed the CPU cooler to Zalman CNPS9700LED http://www.zalman.co.kr/eng/product/view.asp?idx=229&code seems like only the RAM missing, its planned to arrive to store 1 st of feb.
