  1. alright now what kind of program are u using???
  2. It just amazes me of all the different speed test sites out there. I I have found that Speakeasy and Charters speed test to be more accurate. Testmy used to be really good untill Ca3le had to reload the system at least for me anyway. of course it all has to do with Ca3le Host provider and there equipment and all that geeky stuff that i wont go into detail since alot of people wouldnt understand unless that have actually built networks and servers. It is very interesting from what i have been reading on the Net is that NDT Test servers are alot more accurate then other test servers since NDT's dont have all. For instance i just ran 4 tests from a NDT Test server located in Madison Wisconsin which is only 1 state in the middle of where i live. There server has a 100mb connection and these are my results: TCP/Web100 Network Diagnostic Tool v5.3.3e click START to begin Preparing Speedtest . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 730.06Kb/s running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 22.07Mb/s Your speed is 401.34 times faster than 56Kb dialup click START to re-test Preparing Speedtest . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 730.78Kb/s running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 22.10Mb/s Your speed is 401.93 times faster than 56Kb dialup click START to re-test Preparing Speedtest . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 730.78Kb/s running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 22.12Mb/s Your speed is 402.28 times faster than 56Kb dialup click START to re-test Preparing Speedtest . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 729.98Kb/s running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 20.04Mb/s Your speed is 364.53 times faster than 56Kb dialup Talk about being Pretty Accurate, Testmy cant even come close to push it my way but then i do live farther away from Texas then i do Wisconsin. Speakeasy test site located in Chi. Always gives me around 14 to 18 Mb. Of Course I wont be happy untill actually move files like i can on my Gigbit Network I know the ISP's have the compacity for it and i would even pay extra for it but of course it really doesnt matter if you have a really really fast connection on the net because it all has to do with there end servers and how much bandwidth there allocating to the Peers that are accessing there Website and what else they have to offer on there Servers. But in the meantime i guess i could contradict myself and say for now i am happy with my service even though i pay extra for it since i am with the buisness class cable. Just so i can use all those Static IP's and get alot better customer support and have priority access on the Web. I noticed most people on here that are downloading 4mb sec connection to show it off are most likely from there work and are to ashamed to show us there real scores from home or then again they probably dont even have a PC at home. lol just kidding
  3. What was your rates Dlewis23?? I guess it goes to show you that some tests are better with certain people just all depends where your located and how many hops you are away or bascially how fast the routers are that your going through.
  4. This might help, only if i could break the 3mb/sec lol
  5. Blunted 2 --- How much do you pay for your Cable Service??
  6. You must live in the out in the woods in order not to get HSC or DSL
  7. I Paid 120 for it. Im running cable but i will have to say the performance is alot better then of Netgear, and Linksys from what i have use. Alot faster then the Linksys GS
  8. Yep still must say I like the whole look and performance of this router, especially the Gigabit Ethernet Network Really fast to push those really large files. Of course now i will configure and very large HD into the Network just to push large files too. Cant ever have enough space it seems.
  9. I hate preview releases, not to mention firefox is a memory hog compared to IE, i have always found out that IE is faster when browsing but i guess it all depends on the persons system
  10. What kind of tests do you get at this site??
  11. Nothing like bearing the 10mb needle
  12. Yeah it is nice to have the download and upload capacity, oh i did this test while running Bitcomit
  13. Yeah kinda looks like an issue with one of ATT routers. 14. That was my latest at this site Thats alright but i used to get around 13 to 17 here. theres probably some routing issues or node issues along the way to the test server from where i live.
  15. My settings are fine tuned. I think with my over 15 years of PC Repair i should know weather its my system or not and if it was my system all the other test sites would report bad results as well.......Just like you always get a second opinion on your car or even a dr.
  16. My ISP is Midcontinent or Midco.net I use the NDT test located in Madison, Wisconsin on the Charter servers. The link is here http://speedtest.wi.charter.com/
  17. There is my test. of course it is 3:30am in the morning here lol. No i get faster results with Speakeasy and i always get around 12 with my isp test server and then i get around 20 or so with charters test site. Frogger always is around 9 to 10, i guess it depends on where the servers are at and how close because i know speak easy in chi. is always around 17 to 18mb. I noticed this test site has been pausing in the middle of runs. today it was around 6 while all the others reported as normal. :::.. 18. Hello I am not getting the results i once was at this site, just wondering if the servers are undergoing some maintance?
  19. Never had problems just the install and downloads of IE7 updates took forever. but over all i really like it
  20. I just Downloaded IE 7 I noticed at the microsoft website that it finally came out of RC1. I like the setup its really cool though im not to fond of the Phishing since it slows the websites down a little. After i disabled the phishing it works back to normal again. Reminds me of Firefox with the tabbed browsing a big setup from the previous versions.
  21. I Think That test server is pertty accurate. TCP/Web100 Network Diagnostic Tool v5.3.3e click START to begin Preparing Speedtest . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 730.06Kb/s running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 22.41Mb/s Your speed is 407.49 times faster than 56Kb dialup click START to re-test Preparing Speedtest . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 730.78Kb/s running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 22.32Mb/s Your speed is 405.82 times faster than 56Kb dialup click START to re-test Preparing Speedtest . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 730.78Kb/s running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 22.41Mb/s Your speed is 407.59 times faster than 56Kb dialup click START to re-test Preparing Speedtest . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 730.78Kb/s running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 22.39Mb/s Your speed is 407.13 times faster than 56Kb dialup
  22. This is the fastest that I can ever get from Cachefly. I guess it all depends on how far you are away from there Servers. but then its never as fast as Microsoft servers are
