I must say this is the best router that i have ever purchased!! It looks really cool with those Blue led lights the flash and the nice soft cloth feeling like on the router case. Plus alot of extra features that i like as well.

how do you configure your modem to auto, because i have gotten that duplex error, i have an ambit modem, and from what i see theres no where in that cable modem that i can adjust the link speed.

I was told by my ISP company that testing the speed from the closest server to you would be the most accurate results. Is this why like for instance when i run tests from DSL Replorts and select the florida server it gives me only around 6000, and your site gives me around 12 to 13mb. Thats strange since im from SD and testmy.net is located in texas. my isp has a speed test site located 60 miles from me and i always get 10 to 12mb with theres.

What is the proper MTU setting??

I have been building systems for over 15 years and to properly clean your fans u can do this by a can of air, all you need to do is hold the fan with your finger so it doesnt rotate. Your system should be clean out with compressed air at least once every 3 months to avoid over heating of system componets as dust particals will act as insullation and keep the heat in the components and not allow them to breath. Also i have seen alot about the CCcleaner program, i found that to work really good too but i have always used Cleanup 4.5.2 that program can be found here http://www.stevengould.org/software/cleanup/ Its has a very simple interface and works really well.

I have 768k upload on mine well it actually runs about 740k and its cable. so there getting better. but then you can have even faster upload if your willing to pay the price for it

lol, yeah i noticed a big improvement now since i upgraded to the buisness side. plus get all the extra goodies, such as Static IP's, 20 email addresses, and also being able to run servers plus i had to make up my own settings in cablenut.

Hello, I have noticed that when i do tweak my settings certain speed tests will be alot better but it doesnt help my download speeds still the same averageing around 400 to 700 mb/sec depending on where i go. Also always theres a delay when i want to go to the website after i tweaked my settings using cablenut or TCPOptimizer but theres no delay when using the default windows settings, also i have read that Windows Vista will automatically adjust the TCP Recieve Window to what best suits your connection type, so in reality tweaking your settings with windows vista wont really matter but then i could be wrong. has anybody else experienced the lag issue after tweaking.

Its about time theres somebody here that has Midco.net I have the Midco max as well but i just have the residential one. but i dont get speeds like yours.

Why thanks for the tip. Yes It is nice untill people call you a liar, i think i should know what i am talking about it is with my isp and yes i have verified it with tech support and it is uncapped the download portion thats why i paid 15 dollars more a month for it.

This speed test is from charter This one here i get the highest maybe its because its closer to me i dont know, i know that the farther away the test sites are they get worse, ok like for instance fore i did the tweak i ran about 5 to 6mb connection on this site doing the tests and then around 8 to 9 at charters test and then around 4 to 5 at dslreports. and now i have to say its kinda funny is that dslreports have gotten worse around 2 to 3 now while this site and charters have increased alot. I just figured that Unthrottled was the same as uncapped at least thats what Midco told me when i called them is that they dont have limits on my download speeds and then i can get it as fast as the servers can send it to me. no its not illegally, actually, go here, why is it so hard to believe: http://www.midcocomm.com/ResidentialServices/MidcoNetBroadband/Index.cfm I have the Midco Max, and read in that paragragh and it says unthrottled download speeds and 512 uploads and i have called them to make sure and yes you could even have call them blunt its 1-800-888-1300 someones there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I never did uncap my modem my ISP did, its there unthrottled down package, its the highest package they offer
