  1. thanks for posting your AP Eval screenie johnmikeb

now i can see where your problem is. you are currently homed in the wrong Access Point in your base station.

color code 51 (current AP) says your RSSI is only 551 with SectorUserCount of 23. you should be homed at color code 57 where the RSSI is higher at 972 and SectorUserCount of 27, w/c is just within a good range.

    SOLUTION: CHANGE YOUR COLOR CODE.

    1. login to canopy webpage thru 169.254.1.1 (default)

    2. click "Configuration"

    3. click the "Radio" tab

    4. in the color code box, replace the current value 51 to a new value 57

    5. click "Save Changes"

    6. click "Reboot"

    7. wait for your canopy antenna to reboot and then close your browser. if you like, restart your computer or disconnect then reconnect your lan to make sure the changes will take effect.

    8. do a speed test http://www.testmy.net/speedtest/d_load.php and post the result.

(OT: hah, i've already mastered tweaking smartbro, they should be getting me! haha  :cheesy: what do you think?  :azn: )

  2. you can't see good results at this time of the day when smartbro traffic is high.

are you open to deleting your C: partition, reformat and then re apply the FOURmula instead of the 20 steps? coz right now i understand you are using both. if so, back up important files and start now.

  3. shes our president here in the Philippines

controversial, yet still the best choice so far..

i hope she will pursue the salary increase for teachers from 10K to 18K and for nurses from 8K to 16K

and lowering down of salaries for GSIS (gov't service insurance system) officials from 500K to lower than 100K phil pesos  :knuppel2:

  4. Ok i figured out that the problem was on verizon's end and now everything is up and running thank god. But i'm still experiencing the same problem with my laptop guys have any ideas?

i suggest you install ccleaner and drTCP.

I downloaded the patrol thingy, since i'm too lazy to google for processes (hehehe), i decided to kill everything and run the speedtest.

    share2-HDQ3PUY0W&dual=yes&q2=N0UBA2FS1

I now have some significant uploads...

Thanks ianonline and CoolBuster for helping me

    congratulations  :smitten:

  7. hes not selling it.. he's giving it out..  all we have to do is pay for the shipment..

(kapatiran na to, sabay titig wag kang maingay pare)  <---- just a filipino proverbs all about friendship..

kapatiran means brotherhood...and oh yes momma t. in the philippines we also call it "bayanihan". if someone needs assistance, the neighborhood gives it - for free.

  8. 5. changed my IP to 169.254.3.3, opened my web browser and tried to connect to 169.254.1.1..

    guess what??? cannot connect...

    welcome to testmy.net jjester

i think your # five is a sufficient answer why you can't connect. try to put in your browser location bar 169.254.3.3 and see what happens next.

fyi: for anybody who wants to have a premade canopy override/default plug, i can help. a dozen of those is still in my possession.  :azn:

  9. Actually I just made up the upload speed of 1-5Kbps. My actual upload speed is worse than that, it cannot even complete the upload test. And I left it there for 30 minutes.

    hi there.

would you mind if we ask for a screenshot of the following:

    1. your programs in Control Panel Add or Remove Programs

    2. processes in the Task Manager

  10. think of the router/access point as the MOTHER.... and the subscribers are the kids...

the kids want to go YAHOO.com  so the kids told the mother to go to yahoo.com    mother went to yahoo.com  on the entrance there is a security guard who logs everybody who goes in.. so since physically the mother is the one who went inside then the log will be the mothers IP address.... in our case the ROUTERS IP address and not your PC's IP Address...

i wonder where their FATHER is... hmmm....  :2funny:

    jk

  11. Is there an easy to use network monitoring program that'll show how much bandwidth is consumed by each process/program that accesses the internet from my humble PC? I don't want to do 2 years of post-doctoral research in telecomm engineering to figure out how many KBytes/sec or packets/sec each process/program is sending/receiving. Thanks in advance.

    try this
