  1. yes its better to use outlook.. much more obvious advantages when youll use outlook some are.. back up the whole enchelada hehhe (emails, phonebook entries etc etc,,..) you are also safe in spams and viruses since your AV software will scan incoming emails before you receive them..
  2. hey sven can you upload the pkg2 to a file hosting web site so i can download it? if thats not too much to ask.. thanks in advance.. my canopy is SM-DES
  3. dont use switch or hub in internet sharing with smart bro you cannot use internet simultaneously (pc's connected to hub or switch cannot access the internet at the same time) router is the best choice and hassle free.. buy edimax 4 port wired lan router i think its only 1k in the market.. its cheap and its effective.
  4. this is what i get when i entered my ESN so its not possible for me to download the update packages anyone can upload it to some files hosting website would be highly appreciated thanks..
  5. for those of you who uses outlook and other email clients in sending and receiving emails on smart bro.. lately i always have an error when sending emails using outlook express... this is the reason why.. incoming mail: pop.smartwifi.com.ph outgoing mail: smtp.smartwifi.com.ph (formerly smtp.smartbro.net) smart bro changed the outgoing smtp email server settings without any notice or announcement to their subscribers..
  6. try these.. run cmd then type ipconfig /release hit enter after some secs you may get limited connectivity.. now type ipconfig /renew hit enter wait for your connection then when connected observe if youre still being disconnected. also try quickfix it might help you diagnose your problem
  7. here's the latest quickfix with jitter and backhaul testing support.. fixed the speed test bug.. uninstall previous version before installing this version.. try it out.. http://www.smart.com.ph/smartbro/shared/resources/QuickFix-2.1.msi
  8. here is mine just tested mins ago.. look at my sig thanks
  9. these proxies are not smart bro proxies.. they might slow down your internet and you cannot access some sites..
  10. ok g if proxy cacheing does exist ofcourse it would be inaccurate to do speed tests.. so better do speed tests without using any proxies.. i have only an idea about proxies.. the reason maybe why using proxies on smart bro makes connections speed higher is because smart bro uses a static ip address so all of the clients that are using the same base station share a single IP so if there are too many users using the said base station it might result into a congestion and slow of internet speed.. so when a user uses a proxy it might redirect the signal to the proxy server and not directly affecting the base station capacity so congestion is minimized.. im not sure about this its only an idea.. i started this thread because ive been using these proxies for a long time now and they always speed up things on my side.. as i said in my early posts of this thread this wont work to everybody its case to case basis.. this thread has gone too far and many disputed about using proxies.. it is very simple if proxies dont work on your side dont use them..
  11. ???????????????????????????????? hehehehe no comment.. it has been proven using proxies on SMART BRO really boosts speeds of connection i dont know on other ISP's and I dont care... end of story..
  12. @sexpert why not get an ISP that has a speed of 5mbps? if youre asking if smart bro can reach that speed maybe on bursting or off peak hours but it wont last even a min hehehe..
  13. working proxies.. proxy.smartwifi.com.ph proxy.smartbro.net 121.1.3.194 all ports are still 8080
  14. im using the lower version of kaspersky 5.0.327 doesnt eat alot of memory and it protects awesome imagine for 3 years without a virus issue? i guess thats enough to try this out..
  15. @jun101ph so im right it will be deactivated so whats your point saying its not true and you quoted and disagreed that what im pointing out is wrong?? dont disagree if your not sure what you disagree.. im right and dont dispute my post!
  16. @jun101ph further explanation maybe you are misleading the topic.. example your canopy is beamed to cellsite 1 (base station) exactly working with good color codes.. cellsite 1 is located north of your location.. then you want to try to beam your canopy to another cellsite example cellsite 2 which is located south of your location. this will not work since your original base station is cellsite 1.. yes you can get good colorcodes on cellsite 2 but you cannot access or browse the internet because your account will be deactivated.. before posting try this yourself and dont post as if you know it all okay?..
  17. @jun101ph even if you change the color code on another base station it wont work your account will be deactivated..
  18. @ExtremeFusion 15 - 25 users is really small compared to what color code i'm using at present 169 users!! but i guess the fallback of this is more accounts are coming in a month or two it might reach 200+ users guess i have to wait if it would affect my speed..
  19. you cannot just beam your canopy to any base station on your area it will surely deactivate your account.. maybe you mean changing color codes..??
  20. cool doing all those tests with different tweaks takes alot of time and patience youre cool dude keep it up.. atleast youve improved your speed and thats a good sign...
  21. @lapako i dont know if you can use this proxie in internet games because basically internet games use direct connections to the internet unless you can configure the game intself to use a proxy..
  22. @saiji123 well i guess you dont need to use proxies since you had same results and doesnt improve your speed.. (as i said its maybe on case to case basis)
  23. @saiji143 when im using flasget my download speed reaches upto 60kb/s but on peak hours it only max at 40kb/s of course im using proxy..
  24. i advise you use firefox it has its own proxy changer feature that will not affect your internet connection unlike IE when you change your proxy in IE some programs or application might be affected.. so better use firefox and leave your internet options on default..
  25. well i guess this doesnt work to everyone..
