my bios only says the speed my cpu identifies its self of originally being. ( its not the best bios in the world )

Welcome to the forum i would stick with it for a few days. my speed wasnt very great right when i started, but it got better. if it stays bad, i would probably go with the 4000

the percentage is out of all tests from your provider, not just your package. I believe several people have verizon fios? that is 15Mbs, so the average speed for the host would go up

i would suspect it is something like 1500/384 if that is the case, your speeds are quite good

try clearing your browser cache before you take the test. i dont know what browser you have, but in IE6 it is in Tools | Internet Options | Delete Files

Im glad you got it working I would have to disagree that a router wont work with the home consumer package. I an living proof of that It took tons of configuration to get it to work right though. PHP

wcpuid says 3985.26MHz btw, i have a large case fan that funnels air only through my heatsink, it works quite well

i have tried 5 different programs now, 2 say my CPU speed is 3000MHz, 3 say 4000-4380MHz i will try wcpuid and post back soon...

if you cant find the thread, MBM 5 is a good program i believe, also speedfan is good
